About David

David Korn · Fenelon Falls · Candidate for Mayor
Kawartha Lakes isn’t just where I live — it’s home.
My family has proudly called this community home for five generations. We’ve watched our community grow, thrive, and support one another. We have also seen the challenges that have slowly affected the quality of life that residents deserve.
I believe it’s time to restore Kawartha Lakes to the strong, vibrant, and beautiful community we know it can be.
David lives in Fenelon Falls. He is not a sitting councillor and he is not asking for the job because it is the next rung. He is asking because the quality of life in this city — the roads you drive, the lakes you fish, the tax bill you open, the collection day you count on — has drifted, and somebody has to put a steady hand back on it.
The campaign slogan on the lawn signs is not a flourish. An Energetic Call to Action is the posture: show up, name the five files that matter, and do the work with residents rather than around them.
Urban and rural. Seasonal and year-round. Lindsay, Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, Omemee, and every hamlet on a back road. Kawartha Lakes is one city. It should feel like one.
Five priorities. Tourism, roads, business and conservation, waste, and the budget. Hold him to them.
Call, write, or stop him on the street. A mayor who will not take a call is already the wrong mayor.
October 16 to 26, 2026 — internet, telephone, or in person. City of Kawartha Lakes elects a mayor once every four years.
